How do I start this thing?
So, this is officially my first blog entry. I think I’ll just try to catch everyone up on who we are as a family and what we’re doing and then go from there.
So, Jeremiah just came up on his five year anniversary of owning his own drywall company. Although drywall is what he does, who he is is something entirely different. He is actively serving at our church, The Well, which we love, and his heart is for ministry and serving people. Technically I’m a stay at home mom, although I’m not at home very much these days. Between volunteering for different things at church, picking up the girls and dropping them off at school, taking Silas to soccer, and whatever else pops up in any given week, I find that the car is more familiar to me that my own home.
Olivia is seven now, and is loving second grade. It’s a challenge for her but I see her learning so much everyday. Eden is five now, and is enjoying pre-school quite a bit. I think she’d go to school on the weekends if the building doors were only unlocked. Silas is on a superhero kick these days, although I don’t know what three year old doesn’t love superheros. He really wants to go to school like his sister’s, but he has to wait, so in the meantime, I’ve enrolled him in a little soccer class. He doesn’t get the concept of listening to the teacher, so he spends most of the time running up and down the court trying to dribble his soccer ball like a basketball. Owen, my one year old terror. We keep thinking he’ll grow out of the clingy, whiny, naughty stage, but it’s looking like it’s here to stay. He’s a sweet heart when he wants to be.
Our family is in the process of applying to an organization. Jeremiah and I have always known that oversea’s work would be part of our lives, but in the past year we have been feeling Dad was urging us to start pursuing that calling on our lives. It’s been a very long and thorough application process, so if we don’t get accepted, we trust that there are some things we need to grow in in our lives. But, if we are accepted, it will be a huge confirmation of what we have already been hearing from God and others. We are the Johnson’s.

Hey Beth- I’m lovin’ the new blog. I would love to set one up for our family. How do you do it?
Nikki
