Well, the holiday season is finally almost over. I feel like I can breathe a little easier now. We had a lot of fun this month doing things as a family.

We went and cut down our Christmas tree a few weeks ago with our friends, the Armsburies. We had our fill of hot chocolate
and candy canes, while we wondered around the fields looking for the perfect Christmas tree.
We ran into some horses and Llamas, and what Jeremiah thought was a CEBU? I’ve only heard of those on silly songs with Larry (you know, veggie tales) so I’m not really sure if it’s a real animal.
The holiday’s were busy for us, but fun as well. We had a great Christmas Eve eve service at church and Olivia got to read a scripture up front, Eden recited a line, and Silas lit a candle. All the kids enjoyed being up on stage for a couple minutes.
On Christmas eve, we spent most of the early evening over at the Johnson house.
It was nice to all sit around and talk,
and to catch up on the current events in our live. All the kids and cousins ran around the house ringing bells to let us know it was time for Great Grandma MaryEllen
to read the Christmas story. Then, it was time to tear into the presents
. After the Johnson house, we headed over to the Herboth gathering (my moms side of the family). We made it there for dessert, although Jeremiah helped himself to a second dinner first. Basically we talked some more and just had a great time seeing all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and so on.
Christmas morning the kids amazingly slept in til 9ish.
We opened the presents and the stockings
. It was Owens first year to actually open the presents himself and he caught on very quickly. I love watching the excitement on the kids faces. I am so blessed with Jeremiah and the kids. Life would be quite bland without them.
We headed over to my parent’s house in the afternoon to eat “breakfast” together, and open MORE presents. Oh my, will they ever stop? Olivia was especially excited when she opened her gift and found her very own kids digital camera
. She’s been into taking pictures fore as long as I can remember. Silas got his fare share of superheros, and Eden, a ton of arts and crafts. Owen would have been happy with the wrapping paper
, but was even happier when he got his musical guitar.
After nap time we headed down the street to my dads parent house for, you guessed it, more presents
.
Then everyone came back over to my parents house for Christmas dinner.
We played scrabble and had a great time hanging out with each other. I feel I should mention that I won the scrabble game.
We had a great time celebrating Christmas, and spending time with family.
I dread finding places for all the new toys and gadgets. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday as well, and I’ll talk to you in the new year.

It was a great blessing having your man over to our house last night! Thank you for sharing him. I know he didn’t come home smelling good. Hug the kids for me! Blessings…
